This blog was originally intended to be a way in which I can document my travels, vent my frustrations, and share experiences with my family and friends during my 10 months studying abroad at Kansai Gaidai, located in Osaka, Japan. Now, it serves much the same purpose, only that the my occupation status has changed from “student” to “English Teacher” (of course…), and I am now presently living and working in Nayoro, Hokkaido, Japan.
Although accurate and unbiased information is not guaranteed in this blog, you could go as far as to say that it can be used as a learning resource for those who wish to gain a basic understanding about Japanese society, and what it is like to live here in Japan.
Hi!
I was searching the web for shamisen lesson in the Kansai region when I found your website. Do you currently study at KGU?
I will be studying there for the Spring 09 semester and I was looking for shamisen lessons. Have you found a school or a private teacher?
Tell me more please, I’m really interested!

Hi Aleck,
This is Yoshi. I’m student of Tai’s class.
I sat near white board, window side.
Today I didn’t say “Nice to meet you.”
So I visit your BLOG and post greeting message.
I hope we will have a good class!
Kind regards, Yoshi

I’m trying not to be creepy here but I was just browsing wordpress when I came across your blog. I’ve read a couple of entries (:. I’m soon heading over to Japan for five weeks to study there and kind of nervous about what to expect.
Haha, it’s nice to know that someone out there had a good time overthere!
